FixForesight exists because home repair pricing is opaque on purpose.

A homeowner with no way to check a number has no negotiating position, so we publish the range, the basis each job is billed on, and the metro adjustment – then tell you to get two quotes and use ours as a floor for your questions.

We are not contractors and we do not sell your details to one. If a figure here is wrong, the fix is public: we correct the dataset and note the date.

Who writes this

An independent researcher. We do not pretend to have a crew, a workshop or forty tested products, because we do not. What we do is collect published prices, wage data and reported repair patterns, and put them where you can check them.

Data

Cost bands come from public wage and materials data. Frequency estimates in the symptom checker are a synthesis of reported repair patterns, not clinical certainty, and we label them as such. See how we price things.
